the secret to a more “natural” filler

Alright let’s talk Sculptra, what we feel is one of the most underrated facial balancing products out there! Unlike traditional dermal fillers that focus on adding volume to specific areas of the face, Sculptra works by stimulating your body’s own natural collagen production. What we like about it is that it is a more gradual process that helps with the same things traditional fillers help with like restoring the contours of the face and smooths out wrinkles, but while also providing subtle yet noticeable results over time.  So, if you're looking for a more natural approach to filler Sculptra is what you're looking for!

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) injectable that’s main purpose is to help restore volume lost due to our lovely friend aging. As we get older, our bodies produce less collagen, leading to the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin (this is when people start coming in to see us!).

Sculptra helps to target this by promoting collagen production deep within the skin. The effects of Sculptra are not an instant gratification situation, but they are long-lasting.  This usually speaks to those who want a more natural-looking and sustainable option compared to traditional fillers.

For some people Sculptra can last for up to two years for some of our patients. Unlike other fillers that may need to be done every few months, it can have more long-term benefits by enhancing your skin’s ability to regenerate collagen (which means way less needle pokes, which is a win for everyone!).

So, it is an excellent investment for our patients that are looking for a treatment that requires fewer touch-ups. However, we think it is super important to note that Sculptra works gradually, and results can take a couple weeks to months to fully manifest, depending on the patient and the area treated.

The treatment itself is relatively simple and non-invasive, typically requiring a series of injections spaced about a month apart. Most patients experience minimal downtime, but like with any needle poke, mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness can happen. We do typically see best results after a series of 3 but every patient is different including their anatomy, and also health of their skin.

So if you are on the fence about filler, come in and see us and let's talk about options and see if Sculptra might be the perfect fit for you!
