Cupping & Dry Needling

This treatment is one by Dr. Susan Facemire. When cupping, glass or plastic cups are applied to the skin to ease pain and improve muscle function. During your Dry Needling session, a small monofilament needle is inserted through the skin and into a trigger point of the muscles, which reduces pain and improves function.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic floor PT is a conservative approach to address impairments related to the pelvis/pelvic floor including weakness and pain. Common diagnoses include leaking, prolapse, pain with intercourse, chronic pelvic pain, painful bladder syndrome or interstitial cystitis, IBS, endometriosis, pregnancy related low back pain/sciatica, diastasis recti, and many more.

Whether you've never had a baby, pregnant or postpartum women often overlook key components of pelvic floor function and therefore suffer from dysfunction. Women's Health and pelvic floor physical therapy is critical during many parts of a women's life especially during pregnancy, postpartum and the stages of menopause.

Physical Therapy services are always one-on-one and focus on your individual needs and include a comprehensive initial evaluation and development of an individualized treatment plan that can include manual therapy both internal and external as indicated), dry needling, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and what is probably most important - patient education.
