say goodbye to puffy eyes and dark circles!

Puffy eyes and dark circles are a very common concern that we treat at our Akron, Ohio med spa.  Both of these pesky problems can make even the most well-rested person look tired or aged. There are a few causes that can contribute that we see most frequently including genetics, lack of sleep, allergies, or lifestyle factors; these under-eye issues are notoriously difficult to treat with over-the-counter products/ skin care alone.

But you’re in luck, we offer a variety of advanced treatments that target the root causes and deliver visible, lasting results. If you're ready to rejuvenate your eye area, we have some fun things while also keeping your goals in mind.

One of the most popular, and most appealing treatments for those looking for a more instant gratification result is fillers, particularly those that have hyaluronic acid like Restylane or Juvederm. When dark circles are caused by volume loss or thinning skin under the eyes, fillers can restore fullness and reduce the appearance of shadows. The results are immediate and can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months which is nice for those looking for low maintenance treatments as well. In the hands of one of our lovely nurse practitioners, the treatment is safe, relatively quick, and requires minimal downtime.

Another great option is microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Like we have talked about previously, this uses tiny needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving skin texture. When we combine it with PRP, derived from your own blood, the healing process is accelerated, and the skin’s appearance becomes more radiant and youthful. For our clients dealing with dark pigmentation or thin, crepey skin under the eyes, microneedling with PRP is a great option for you!

Laser therapy—specifically non-ablative lasers like our BBL or fractional lasers like MOXI—can also be incredibly effective in reducing dark pigmentation and tightening the under-eye area. These devices work by targeting melanin and stimulating collagen, gradually diminishing dark circles and smoothing puffiness over a series of treatments. Patients love this option for its ability to address multiple skin concerns simultaneously with little to no downtime.

For those that want more of the non-invasive and soothing treatments, lymphatic drainage massages using guasha stones ,jade rollers, or ice rollers can be excellent choices. These treatments stimulate circulation and reduce fluid retention around the eyes, leading to a noticeable decrease in puffiness. Regular sessions, especially when used with proper skincare and hydration, can actually give you great results

The thing we really like to drive home for our clients is that the key to success is personalization. One of our trained nurses or nurse practitioners will always assess the underlying causes of your under-eye concerns and tailor a treatment plan that may combine multiple modalities for optimal results. So BOOK NOW, to see how we can help with those under eyes!
